WOL | Symantec

Symantec is the creator of the famous Norton Antivirus and are now known for their Green Security bar in address bars across the WWW and other internet security software. Recently taking over their own online marketing campaigns for APAC, their sought our help to develop the new direction for their email campaigns. The outcome of this collaboration, saw an increase in their conversion rates by up to 30% over the campaigns developed in North America but used for the APAC market.


Creative Lead

When my team took on this project, it was already beyond it's deadline. It ran fast on the ground and required both hands on design and putting together appropriate resources locally and internationally. My main contributions spanned creative work (visual design and HTML email coding), team management and project direction. This has been one of the most challenging and rewarding projects that I have taken part in, to date.


  • Role & Responsibilities:
  • Creative Direction, Concept generation & Design exploration
  • User experience and interaction recommendations
  • Initiate and drive research to drive design decisions
  • Manage project timelines and output
  • Liaising with engineering & overseeing front end development
  • Manage testing and final output quality of creative/code materials thru to delivery
  • Be the key contact point between Symantec managers, their agency partners and global offices
  • Outcomes & Achievements:
  • Assisting Symantec Australia to establish data around their target market in the APAC region,- specifically their tech behaviour
  • Developed their first strong Symantec APAC Digital Marketing identity
  • The APAC targetted campaign brought a 30% increase in conversion rates from any past campaigns
  • Became some of Symantec's most memorable EDM collateral
