WOL | Fyrebox

Fyrebox is a web-based, SAAS application. It allows you to create interactive games and quizes to embedd on your website as simply as filling a form and editing a picture. The beauty of Fyrebox quizes lies in the collection of data, - in the form of email leads, student scores, and can even act as a customer service tool to direct your customers to specific products via it's multi-scenario quizes. It adds an extra level of interactivity and engagement on a website without needing any technical skill.

Product Design Lead

This project was the most impactful end-to-end experience redesigns I have worked on, and the improvements made a significant impact to the product of this fledgling startup. I instigated user research via surveys, analysis of user data via the results, and the site's google analytics, made flow-level, task-level, and control-level improvements, refined the branding and copy, and was able to influence and improvement in the overall interactions across the site.


  • Role & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the redesign aspects of the project
  • Help source user, behvaiour and usage data, develop surveys and help inform a rebrand, and experience overhaul.
  • Identify and profile key users of the tool
  • Support experimentation of new or improved features
  • Create design assets required to build out the new brand and components
  • Audit and contribute to copy improvements throughout the site and app
  • Create extra promotional materials in line with the new brand for use in marketing, advertising and intergrated platforms
  • Outcomes & Achievements:
  • Developed the new identity of Fyrebox that was more memorable
  • Upgraded the product to have an enclosing brand around it's product and identity and make it more consistent
  • Assisted the founder to identify Fyreboxe's target audience and product value
  • Created the first experience assets to support the business going forward (user profiles, site map, product task flows, copy docs for web and EDMs, brand guidelines, and experience principles
  • Helped to get Fyrebox a professional presence with brand aligned marketing, site, and product across all it's touchpoints
  • User profiles also assisted in successfully focusing marketing & promotional efforts

Creating a Brand

In order to develop a brand for Fyrebox, we looked at identity, color palettes, iconography, and also copy - revamping the content of each page as we went along, as well as email communications. This process was driven by system data we had on the current user-base, as well as survey responses, and informed by market insights into the target audience for this tool.
